Come visit Historic Mayberry and run our 10th Annual 5K the weekend of the Mount Airy Autumn Leaves Festival to support local charities!

Early October

Annual Sonker Festival

 "Old-time music" and serving of sonker will begin at 1:00 p.m. and continue until 5 p.m.

Sponsored by the Surry County Historical Society, the event will feature impromptu flat-foot dancing, quilters, a quilt display, Scottish Heritage, and a Civil War Exhibit.

Admission is free. Visitors pay only for the serving of sonker made of apples, blackberries, blueberries, cherries, peaches, strawberries and sweet potatoes. Coffee and other beverages will be available for purchase.

The Edwards-Franklin House is located at 4132 Haystack Road, Mount Airy, NC 27030

Hosted by Round Peak Vineyards


Admission $10pp, Children under 10 free.

Food, soft drinks, live music, hayrides through the vineyard, ghost stories around the bonfire, doggie and human costume contest, corn hole tournament and more!

Proceeds go to Mayberry 4 Paws spay and neuter program. Donations are tax deductible.
